This World Expo is the first of its kind in the Middle East and African region. The Bureau International des Expositions is a global organization to look over international exhibitions. Expo theme – The main theme of Dubai Expo 2020 is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future. It is further divided into some sub-themes, namely Mobility, Opportunity, and Sustainability. The Mobility segment is supposed to focus on developing those areas that demand extra care from administration and technological development. Opportunity identifies the industrial sectors and commercial companies related to the central theme of this Expo so that more new business opportunities can be given to them. Sustainability focuses on important matters, like education, employment, industrial growth, finance, and governance of companies.
Features of theme divisions – This venue has a lift that can carry up to 160 people at a time and it is considered to be the largest lift in the world. Some country’s pavilions in Hammour House show various natural aspects, like coral reefs, rain forests, desert, and waterfall. Some mobility devices are running on a 330 meters-track over outdoor and even underground walkways. Five tracks built on this site are Leave No One Behind, Thrive Together, Build Bridges, Live in Balance, and UAE Vision 2017. All the challenges faced by common people today are broadly covered in these tracks, as per the sub-themes.
Main Expo attractions – Students from different schools of the UAE will perform street shows, parades, musical concerts, and drama on stage here. Various entertainment programs will be held in the Expo venue, like a robot band playing Beethoven’s music in Germany’s pavilion. The UK pavilion is based on Stephen Hawking and his struggles described in recorded voices. Emirate Pavilion offers a glimpse of the imaginary future of aviation in 2071, which will be the centenary year of this country. Some architectural landmarks of the world are featured in more than 90 pavilions, including a spherical projection of the earth’s surface. Visitors can also taste many African cuisines cooked by renowned chefs of those countries.
Prizes awarded on Expo – More than 3 million visitors have already attended Dubai Expo 2020 from October 1 till now. This event will declare five winners of the Grand Prize declared on December 12, who will get 1 million Skywards miles each, which they can redeem from their Emirates Skywards accounts. Normally, all regular passengers of Emirates and associated airlines earn Skywards miles whenever they board flights of these airlines.
